Cal Crutchlow menjadi pembalap tercepat pada sesi Free Practice 4 dengan catatan waktu 1 menit 55,655 detik. Crutchlow berhasil mengalahkan Marc Marquez yang menguasai sesi Free Practice 1 dan Free Practice 2 dengan selisih waktu 0,342 detik. Jorge Lorenzo menjadi pembalap tercepat ketiga pada sesi kali ini dan Valentino Rossi hanya mencatat waktu terbaik keempat.
