Sam Lowes berhasil merebut pole position Moto2 2016 seri ke 13 di sirkuit Aragon,Spanyol. Alex Marquez memberikan kejutan dengan start dari posisi kedua dan pembalap asal Jepang Takaaki Nakagami start dari posisi ketiga. Johann Zargo akan start di posisi kelima dibelakang Jonas Folger.
